"The room was decent. There was newer furniture used in the room. It wasn't as spotless as it could have been in that the floor wasn't sweeped that great. The water pressure was quite low and the shower head was wobbly in the wall. On a bright note the water was hot. The sound proofing was rather poor. Fortunately, the people noise I heard was from a happy couple so I just had their TV and conversing as background noise. I was sufficiently tired so I went to sleep anyway without being ovrly bothered. Perhaps the installation of vinyl flooring as part of the refresh is causing the sound issues. Outside the only issue I noticed was the spalling of the concrete near the edge of the walkways.This location was about 15 minutes from downtown. The entrance to I57 was right up the block which is a plus."

"I loved this hotel. Its probably the cleanest, quietest hotel ive stayed in. Its very secure. Very close to all the best places in Chinatown. Only down side is there is no included parking and there is no where to park in the neighborhood nearby. The Chinatown public parking lot is your best bet for overnight accommodations."

"room was clean enough for the short notice that we gave the short notice to staff, the one guy got me us in the room as soon as he could, he was great! the other helped nicely too, I wish I could remember their names but they were not white, just very nice and hospitable! breakfast was good, outer parking lot more room but felt less safe, closer to hotel parking safer but wayyy to confined, space too small! positive experience regardless!"

"The rooms are cleaned and well-maintained. I encountered the staff upon check-in and she was nice and very helpful. The kitchen area is sufficient for most travelers, there is a microwave, stove, full size refrigerator, basic seasonings, dishes and glassware. The bed could be upgraded, but is doable. There were washcloths provided along with the towels. Hand soap is provided in the bathroom. The view from the picture window is not the best, just ok. The common area has a sofa and chair with a small TV providing ROKU channels. I was able to tune into the local stations, I didn't check for any apps on the TV. There are plenty of channels to choose fun for basic TV viewing. The street had plenty of room for parking while I was there. I used CTA and Uber, but after discovering several bus routes one block away on 35 Street I used CTA. Most of the routes take you downtown on Michigan Avenue. The neighborhood seems to be relatively safe, but use common sense when moving around. I enjoyed my stay (mainly because I had the third floor to myself) and would recommend it if you aren't too picky."
