「Our room was very well decorated -- more creative and tasteful than most hotel rooms. Our particular room did not smell good, though. Hopefully, it was an isolated problem. Room for improvement: I think they should include valet parking in the price of the room. Free parking is included, but it is down the street on the other side of the road from the hotel. As a customer, it would "feel" a whole lot better not to be caught off guard by that.」

「the location was good for our trip, but the property is in need of a total renovation, I repaired the lamp between the beds in our room so we could actually use it, and I cleaned the vanity mirror so we could see ourselves, we tried 1 free breakfast during our 3 night stay and it was terrible, the waffle maker needs replaced it did not completely cook the waffles, this hotel is pretty rough for the price」

「friendly and relaxing stay」

「Parking was a little tight but everything else was good」

「Patios facing the ocean and a beautiful beach. Friendly staff, beach chairs, and even an attached restaurant.」

「Giant roaches running around the room. Loud people upstairs. Did not get much sleep. Beach was nice」

「The rooms are brand new and beautiful. Great for a weekend at the beach.」

「Very clean. All the amenities one might need and having a kitchenette was helpful. I have mobility issues and everyone on the staff was incredibly helpful. There are a couple tips I would like to leave. For others with mobility issues, the trek to the beach was arduous. I found easy access to the beach on 3rd Street in Emerald Isle which is not far away. There’s parking, a ramp, and a very short walk with no steps. And for the owners of Beacon, I would suggest leaving instructions for the air...

「We loved our stay here! The hosts were so informative and accommodating and friendly. We enjoyed learning more about the property and the area from them. Also loved having off street parking. The bungalow is decorated so well! Even the sailing boat mobile on the fan was just so perfectly done for the space. We didn’t spend time in the loft but the main floor provided all the space the two of us needed. The outside guest shower was just what the doctor ordered after a beach and ferry day and also...

「It’s nostalgic to me as we went there when I was a child and later took my kids there when they were small. The place looks almost exactly like it did 25 years ago. Some extra wood nailed in here and there to make it safe to walk. Lots of areas where one could easily trip. One problem; they said they were no longer dealing with Expedia and charged me extra for taxes they say Expedia didn’t collect. I want to look into this because it seems “fishy” to me.」

「Great place for a few days due to the small size. Needs a small dinner table.」
