For a sub $100/night place to stay at the beach it wasn't too bad. Very clean, smelled nice, recently updated, great water pressure, 10 minute walk from the beach. The only issue I had was the small window ac unit couldn't keep the room below 75 and the temps weren't over 85 during my stay. Other than that, I had an enjoyable stay. Hopefully the room will have an AC sized like the other rooms because I do plan to come back

Clean room with everything you need, and Billy the property manager was wonderful. This is a small, no-frills hotel, but it was just what we needed. We werenโ€™t there for a resort; we needed a nice, clean, safe place to stay in Atlantic Beach. We will be back!

My experience at the Sand Dollar was absolutely incredible ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ˜ŒI was greeted with friendly front desk staff at check in and checkout.My stay was the best with great service and quick response from staff which made the days of rain that I had during my stay the best ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š the room I stayed in was the economy multiple beds and kitchenette and was in very good condition๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ ac and beds were good. Parking was ok. Maybe having the beds lower about 3 to 4 inches and get some pads to put on the metal table and benches in the room to save the floor from getting scratched up. But overall I highly recommend the Sand Dollar to everyone. Short distances to just about everything.

The person at the front desk was bothered each time we asked for something. The floors in the room were filthy. The oven and stovetop were rusted and disgusting and could not be used. On the last day we were there, we found roaches crawling throughout the room. We have stayed at this hotel several times over the years, and it has always been clean and well-kept with friendly, helpful staff. Will probably not book another reservation here.
