"The rooms, facilities, location and amenities are all wonderful. Great property for families. The 4 stars is due to the lack of staff at times. The breakfast buffet was delicious however, during peak hours there were many tables that were not cleaned timely which left us waiting before we could sit. The same was true when attempting to get service poolside. All the staff was so friendly and welcoming, it just felt like they were understaffed. Would definitely return. "

"Beautiful hotel . Friendly staff. Extremely convenient to beach, restaurants and shops. Beautiful homes along the path to the beach. Comfortable bed and nice bedding. Good breakfast in the man. We stayed in room 303. We only had one issue with the room. The AC makes constant clicking sound whenever it is on and it is ON the whole time we were there . It would’ve been a 5 stars stay. We would definitely stay here again in the future. Maybe not room 303 unless they have it fixed . Highly recommended this boutique hotel !"

"Hotel is very lovely, it’s older but so well maintained and clean that I observed workers cleaning the glass windows and patio floor outside was being mopped. The panoramic views across the water of San Diego is so beautiful. The pools are clean and warm. The hot tub was nice. But most importantly it’s been a while since I’ve had every interaction from valet, to front desk, to restaurant staff all be so customer focused. The staff is wonderful and welcoming and for this alone deserves a 5 star. The restaurant Crown landing had delicious food. Usually my teen daughter is very picky but she loved their signature steak and I loved what I ordered which was the seafood pasta dish. We enjoyed our time at this hotel and I would recommend it. The only feedback I had was that pillows were too soft but some people may like that. Rooms were very clean and smelled clean - no musty smell and rooms are not dated. It’s also nice to have a 3rd floor balcony and ours overlooked the pool area. The valet parking was $55 per day or you could opt for self park $50. Also our room was in building 3 so we had to carry our non-wheeled luggage to our rooms as there were no luggage carts that I saw available "

"The room had everything we needed. It was comfortable, very clean, and well stocked. All of the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. We plan on visiting again for a longer stay. "

"The property is beautiful and the view from our room unmatched. However when we checked in our TV go stuck in the on position and when we ,tried to call the front desk, the phone in the room did not work. We did not see a maid for three days and had to get towels and coffee from the front desk and empty our trash by the elevators. There is a lot of potential there as the property is top notch. Perhaps they need to hire more people. Our line for to go breakfast was 25 minutes long and the one for to go dinner was even longer for some of us - all items came out separately so some were done eating by the time the rest came out. Nothing fancy was ordered. All 7 of the restaurants were booked for the night. At check out the staff offered us extra points for our trouble, a nice touch. I hope this hotel gets its act together as the water park was very fun and the grounds/ accommodations beautiful. I will try this hotel again next year as I am in San Diego three times a year.
