Claridge’s, Maybourne

Claridge’s, Maybourne

10/10 Excellent
"Claridge's has the reputation of being one of the best hotels in the world and although I am not one to gush with praise, I would have to agree. I have never been anywhere better. Firstly: the staff are lovely, competent, and friendly (OK, that is not so rare in 5* world). Secondly, the whole place is so clean, so well maintained, that it looks brand new. Its like you are the first person ever to have been in your room. This is rare, especially for a hotel with as much history as this. And the food was excellent. Really good. Location is perfect for a tourist. My taste is for a more modern, minimal look, but I have to say the whole hotel looks beautiful. Sort of Art Deco with a modern twist."

"Lovely hotel. Staff were very helpful. Accommodated a slightly early check in. Room was nicely decorated and clean. Only downside was some road noise during the night but can’t be helped by hotel. Great location tucked away behind Oxford street and within walking distance of lots of restaurants."
