"Staff was very helpful but facility is very old"

"The entryway is beautiful and there are a handful of eating options within the building. The staff were all friendly and helpful. But they could improve on some of the details. The pool water was lukewarm and there was debris laying on the bottom. The wallpaper was peeling off in multiple locations in our room and all the lights would sporadically turn off (we were in the ADA room). Trips to DC are doable but it's a 20 min walk to the metro station then a 30 ride to downtown, so we ended up taking Lyft most days instead which was just a bit more expensive, depending on time of day, for our family of 4."

"It was awfully rxpensive, but apparently there was a meeting going on in town so most hotels were booked and those that weren’t definitely had surge pricing! I’d have liked a vending machine with the ice machine on the halls. We just wanted to have a Coke in the room and you couldn’t. We even asked at the front desk if there was a vending machine anywhere nope so we went to the restaurant to order a couple to go (no room service option) and they said I’m sorry food and drink can’t leave our restaurant. I said not even a Coke? And was told sorry policy. So that was weird. Otherwise the room was spacious, the staff was nice. "
