"The room was very clean but it smelled very old and musty. It’s important to know there are not many amenities in the room. It’s a very basic room so you get what you pay for. The front desk gentleman, Frank, who checked me in, was fabulous. Gave me all the information I needed, down to the last detail. The area has many shops and restaurants."

"This is a nice hidden gem, stayed here before heading out on a Cruise and it was very comfortable. Parking spaces felt a little tight, as most places do in the area, but there was good amount of parking available. The lot was monitored via cameras to ensure safety and the local area felt secure. The beds were very comfortable allowing a pleasant and full night of rest. The rooms were larger than I was expecting which was great to allow us to have a few of us in the room to talk and not feel cramped; though, if you have a lot of luggage for several days with multiple people it may feel a little smaller. That being said, there is a good amount of space for storage so the space can be optimized. Lighting was plentiful and the room felt nice and bright. The staff was very friendly on check-in and check-out and ensured to point out the hours for breakfast and explain the property. Felt like a good warm welcome. The breakfast provided had a surprisingly large selection and seemed to have a little of everything. As a bonus - for those that like Raising Caines, it's right across the street so a super easy walk for some delicious chicken tenders."

"We’ve stayed here on and off for many years, it’s been okay! We were so happy to hear that the rooms have been remodeled and we were thrilled! Come to find out the first floor, dog rooms were not, only the upstairs rooms have been done. We feel the dog room rates are too much considering nothing changed in those rooms, they’ve increased quite a bit! I would recommend each lower patio have a small fence with a gate. We ended up not having our dog, but we could not escape the uncontrolled dogs out running all the time! They would not leave us alone! We have never experienced uncontrolled dogs like this before, but it’s been this way the last couple of times we’ve been (this last time, so much worse). One other thing I’d like to address is the parking, it is now a nightly rate above staying. They have their own lot, perfectly accommodating for all rooms as it always was, so why do they need to make more money on the crappy blacktop lot! If they are so concerned about beach goers parking there, stick with parking passes and actually tow ones without! It’s too bad they are the only hotel in that area that allow pets, which is the only reason we’ve always stayed here. We will be leaving our pet at home from now on so we can go stay at the other, nicer hotels at about the same rate as here."
