"Highly recommend staying at Alcanea. Eva, our host, was incredibly helpful and friendly. The staff/service was great. And the complimentary breakfast offered lots of local options and all were delicious. Best part of this stay was the view and location. The view of the port was awesome with the water, local bars/shops, and mountains in the distance. And there were dozens of restaurants and shops offering all we might need/want. This hotel made Chania feel like home."

Very friendly and helpful staff. There is only street parking, but not hard to find, behind the hotel area. So many restaurants right there. Drove to the most famous Cretan beaches, but the local beach is also very nice. very picturesque. We could see the lighthouse from our window.

We had an incredible time! The team helped us book activities, suggested plans based on our interests, were extremely kind and welcoming and the room and amenities were spectacular. To top it off the food was incredible! The breakfast greek yogurt with fruit and granola was my favorite ever. We cant wait to go back!

We spent part of our honeymoon at La Maison Ottomane and it was exquisite. It is hard to imagine a better place to stay in Chania. There are three rooms and a small courtyard: everything is carefully curated, luxurious, well designed and thought-out, but also unstuffy. The Ottoman theme is faithfully executed, but not at all cheesy or overbearing. We were upgraded to an enormous duplex suite because of some small maintenance work in the room we had originally reserved. However, the other room...

This is an absolutely fantastic stay in Chania. Nikos, your host, will take care of everything you need and very promptly also. He will message you thru WhatsApp and when you are 15 mins away, you message him and he meets you at the room for check in and goes over all amenities. These are hotel style suites but there is no formal desk which is nice. The rooms are large with large showers and the balcony is large enough to sit for coffee/ wine. The hotel was conveniently located in the old town. The rooms and facilities are modern, considering it was an old building. It had a rooftop garden that had a great view of the Venetian port, especially at night.

The host was incredible and very friendly. In addition to making us feel right at home, she was full of wonderful suggestions about how to explore Chania and the western side of Crete. Right outside of the common area, a set of French double doors opens up onto the harbor and the hustle and bustle of the port below. It was an absolutely wonderful...

Parking was a bit of a walk (due to the location on the harbor it was not possible to park next to the hotel), but the beauty of the room, amazing view, and friendly staff more than made up for the walk.
