I had a wonderful stay at this charming hotel in the heart of Chania’s Old Town. The location couldn’t be better—steps away from the harbor, shops, and cozy restaurants, yet quiet enough to relax. The rooms are beautifully maintained. While there isn’t a 24/7 reception desk, the hotel provides a service phone service where staff are available around the clock, which worked smoothly for me. A perfect choice for enjoying the atmosphere of Chania!

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
The location can't be beat, and Eleni was such a wonderful and communicative host. The suite itself was very nice and comfortable.
The hotel staff were wonderful. The room was large and the balcony was huge! The view was lovely of old town and the harbor. The bed was great. And the shower was a huge plus - good water pressure and it was hot. It would have been nice to have some lounge chairs on the balcony as there were only 2 chairs for sitting. We had excellent espresso in our room and that was a wonderful way to wake up each day. So many great choices for dining within walking distance and lots of shopping too. If you want to stay within the walled old town, this is a perfect location.
We did tire of all of the cats everywhere - they are part of the environment and can be loud at night, but it’s part of the charm too. We did find free parking fairly close and that was a great bonus as well.
I had a great stay at Consolato Boutique. Eleni was a wonderful host.
The room was lovely with all amenities included, in a great location, at a good price.
I wouldn’t hesitate to book again.
Nice air-conditioned apartment in the centre of Chania with easy access to restaurants, the Venetian harbor and art shops. Modern and tastefully decorated.
First of all, the service from Eleni was above and beyond. We were arriving very late to the hotel and she sent me a personalized video of how to enter the hotel, access the key for the room and how to use the air conditioning and patio door in the room.
We stayed in a junior suite with a patio, and it was gorgeous. The entrance had a sofa which was made into a bed for our son, and a mini kitchen with coffee maker, fridge, and cutlery/dishes/glassware.
The bathroom was spacious with shelves for all of our toiletries and a very large shower stall. The water pressure was excellent.
The main bedroom is separate from the rest of the room and the bed was very comfortable. There were plenty of cabinets for all of our clothing and lots of extra pillows, blankets, and even beach towels!
The room is decorated exquisitely with large marble wall panels with a modern yet old world feel. The air conditioning was excellent also.
The location is perfect-tons of little wine amd coffee bars, restaurants, and little shops all around.
There is no elevator, but my husband is strong and was able to carry our luggage up the stairs. Literally the only thing that would make this hotel better would be a shelf in the shower for your shampoo bottles.
If I ever stay in Chania again, I will absolutely stay here.
Eleni was so accommodating and helpful! She was very welcoming. We loved our stay, the boutique was beautiful and right next to everything. We can’t wait to come back
Perfect small hotel in the old town of Chania. We had the Athena Junior Suite on the top floor with a beautiful terrace. Everything was fine, modern and clean room. Recommended!
Lovely boutique hotel. I had a single room that was quite small but it was very clean, bed was super comfy, great shower, nice patio with great views of the street below. It s perfect for a single for a night or two. Breakfast is at a cafe across the street.
Great location for seeing Chania, close to many restaurants and sights. Owner friendly and service very good. Very good quality accommodation. Several points to note: if you have heavy luggage, getting it up and down stairs could be a problem; also, music from restaurant across the street which goes on quite late could prevent early nights.
The suite lived up to expectations, as the pictures on the website show.
The host could not have been more helpful with useful information tips and advice. Nothing was too much trouble.
We would definitely recommend to friends and family.
Perfect location in the centre of Hania, only a few minutes walk from the harbour with plenty of shops/restaurants outside your door.
We only stayed one night at this fabulous boutique hotel in old town Chania, but definitely would've spent more if we had more time. The location is excellent, right in the old town but not in the busiest, loudest section. Eleni, the proprietor of the hotel, will check you in and give you all kinds of good recs for the area. There is no front desk that is continuously staffed, but she's very responsive by text. Our room was fantastic; with a comfy bed, closet space, fridge, desk, and a spacious balcony outside, which could probably have been accessed by the room next door as well, but we had it to ourselves when we used it. Everything was wonderful, and Eleni's hospitality and welcoming attitude gives her place that extra edge. Would definitely stay here again!
FYI: If you are driving to Chania, be aware that there is no driving or parking in the old town, so you'll have to park and walk to the hotel. If you're lucky, there's parking at the end of the street, a couple hundred meters away. If it's a weekend and busy, you'll likely have to park farther. We ended up about 1 km away, so be aware of that if you're carrying a lot of baggage.
Miss represented picture of the room, located on a third floor terrace level with steep stairs, very small room, tiny toilet and the shower over several more steps, unsuitable for third for people. The picture on the web site is not for the room we were offered. We didn’t checked in as it was not suitable for us and HOTELS.com customer service at first call said we won’t be charged but haven’t sent the confirmation by email as we requested. After a fee hours hotels.com sent us an email asking our check in experience. We contacted again and the agent said that according their policy we are going to be fully charged. After two days we still have not got a response from Hotels.com customer service regarding a claim and request to escalate an investigate why the two agents had given different answers and why we will be charge as the hotel misrepresented the room and suitability or worse allocated us a different room instead the one on the picture.
We don’t recommend to book Consolato boutique hotel
Nydelig sted for romantiske kvelder, eller jentetur på byen. Så vakkert at første kvelden ble bare på rommet og balkongen med takeaway og vin. Fantastisk rom som har det du trenger og gir en meget lux følelse
Right in the heart of old town Chania. The room was amazing and the owner was so helpful and flexible with checkin time. Will absolutely reccomend to others wanting to stay in Chania
