"Property is marvelously remodeled to western standards while retaining traditional Japanese essence. It is situated in a quiet neighborhood with no street noise whatsoever. The outdoor tub(onsen) us a welcome place of tranquility. Large drop down screen provided super video entertainment but candidly a large television would be easier to operate and adjust. Unit is a stone's throw from all the major sightseeing spots and others can be easily accessed by purchasing a day pass on the Red and Green loop buses. Definitely no need to rent a car as parking can be an issue. Easy to reach via 4 minute taxi ride from train station. Of particular note is the huge fish market which also has a large super market for breakfast essentials. Very much worth the stay."

"Great, new hotel, large and comfortable rooms, nice big bed. Short bus ride or 24 minute walk from train station in Nikko town. Free coffee all day (nice machine). Recommend buying breakfast and perhaps dinner at the main grocery store close to the Nikko train station, for convenience. Good idea to rent a car at Toyota Rent a Car/Hertz as the drives through the mountains are great, and the local bus service is good, but does not run all day."

"Nice hotel with a free basic breakfast very close to the station. Quiet, probs a bit dated but staff are lovely and close to the station, shops, large supermarket. Fresh towels hung on your door knob daily. Bus stop/both stations are max 4-5 min flat walk. If strong from Tokyo take the SpaciaX train. New, clean and very comfy (leaves Asakusa sun in Tokyo and stops at Ueno also from memory"

"I stayed only for one night but the hotel was excellent, staff were helpful, spacious Japanese style room. A bit of walk from the Kinugawa Onsen Station but it is a nice walk. I will stay again if I am in the area again."
