「Let’s start with the positives, the location, view and surrounding area are amazing. As for the rest, we were informed that we had to check in by 7 as the office was closed after that. We arrived at 6pm, told the key was in a lock box with the code and we went to the room. It’s was clean but looking a little rough around the edges. 「This hotel was charming! if you love history and antiques, this is the place for you. The 100+ year old elevator alone is worth booking this hotel. We had a beautiful bay facing view that was great! The room was period antique but not stuffy and the hotel owner Katie showed pride of ownership in all the details.」

Check in was at 4 but it was not ready til 5:30 because they were unaware we had reserved it. The lake is beautiful but for the price and the place, go down the road a few miles and stay somewhere else.」

「The hotel is outdated but not horrible. The main issue was the pool. When we take our family on vacation our kids favorite part is the pool. However, the pool experience here with children is HORRIBLE!!! They have NO seating around the pool and don’t allow chairs to be brought inside. No kids under 14 are allowed in the hot tub even if there isn’t a single other person in the pool area and they spy on you and come and tell you to get your kids out of the hot tub.
