"It started off pretty bad, but the management took care of our concerns nicely. Tip: Do not get the lower end rooms, they are awful. The higher end rooms are extraordinary. So are the grounds. But if you come at night, note the parking lot is unlit and a kilometer from the front desk."

I discovered I had left somethings in the room safe at my last hotel and Ms Hatanaka was kind enough to make a call right away to my Tokyo hotel to arrange for them to hold it and return to me when I return to Tokyo. I really appreciate her help. I will definitely return in the near future."

"We enjoyed this hotel during a brief getaway during the summer to escape the Tokyo heat. The hotel is located in a very nice location in old Karuizawa (Kyo-Karuizawa), close to many nice restaurants and little shops, while also being very quite. Rooms are very large and modern, the hotel has its own hot spring (onsen), and high speed internet is free. Very friendly staff and a large and tasty breakfast buffer. We definitely plan to visit again."

"Great place to stay for a visit to Kariuzawa. Next to the train station and they will hold your bags while you explore the town, then pick up your bag and head to the train station. Very helpful staff. The breakfast buffet was one of the best I’ve had in Japan- lots of local, traditional foods cooked from scratch. Such a treat!"
