The Island Resort at Fort Walton Beach

10/10 Excellent

"The room was clean and nice. I wasn’t crazy about a rain shower- shower head. Also no plugs on both sides of bed or in bathroom was a little difficult. At night it was hard to find food at the resort. We didn’t want to get back out but there was no place to grab a bite a to eat except the night the food truck was open. The breakfast bar was amazing. I wish we had known to get the all inclusive because 29.00 plus a resort tax of 3.00 is too much for breakfast. The 2nd floor ocean front for us was looking straight into the bar and we couldn’t see ocean - but people could see in our room so that was not the best location. We loved the pools, the entertainment, the wrist keys, the towels, the daily room cleans, the location and the food trucks. Prepare for 1drink at the bars being close to $20. Very steep with a tip!! Great family fun for our grandkids! DJ - pool fun etc"

"Loved the location. Room smelled muggy when we checked in and the odor remained even after letting the sun in and cooling the room temperature. Requested cleaning and refreshing the room and they did and so the smell went away so I think it wasn’t cleaned right before we arrived. Breakfast always run out of food and the hot food platters were so hard to access, it’s in a warmer that you have to hold the door up while you’re trying to get food. Overall, a little disappointed because I had high expectations due to how the Home 2 Suites in San Antonio, Tx was so much better when I stayed there 2 years ago."

"The hotel was clean inside and out, including the parking lot. The staff was professional, personable, accommodating, welcoming, and always well-presented. My stay here was a 10/10. The EV charging station was fast and reasonably priced for an overnight charge,I only paid about $15–$20. Whole Foods and several other stores were within walking distance which was extremely convenient. I absolutely enjoyed my stay. The property was aesthetically pleasing, well-maintained, and provided a comfortable, enjoyable experience from start to finish. I would definitely stay here again! ❤️"
