"An honest and factual review; half board, week long trip in April; neurodiverse British family, boys aged 5 & 3. Positives •staff friendly, polite and helpful, we had several occassions of excellent service. •wonderful location, very short walk to beach/amenities. Shops opposite and bus stop around the corner. •pool facilities amazing, splash zone was great, water very cold but it's only April. Shower facilities if you've checked out. Could do with more loungers. •rooms cleaned daily if required •snack/drinks vending machine •very clean and tidy with a simple but pleasing aesthetic and decor. Negatives •not much seating in the night time area •only 2 people on the bar so long queues •could do with a park or something similar •mattress like concrete •air-con not on at this time of year (5 days at highs of 25° was very hot for us) Neutral •entertainment - didn't use much so cannot have a true opinion. What we did see was exciting and engaging and seemed to be a lot on •food - breakfast: excellent variety - everything you can think of (except hash browns!), well stocked stations; almost always a queue for egg based items at grills. evening: a themed section each evening however the remainder of the food was repetitive, mediocre and often cold. Waiting staff very efficient but a couple of times took unfinished plates. Tried all inc. for a day, the snack bar was very basic. Wide variety of drinks. Overall a fantastic hotel and trip. Would definitely return again with just B&B."

"Staff were rude at times. I had to upgrade to fit our family in the room and the whole stay, they kept telling me the room was for 3 x people only, even to the point of housekeeping coming back to remove the extra bed they had just put up! Our room number was neither on any breakfast sheets so were always questioned if we had paid for it or not. No information on how to try the kids club. Spa staff were rude, wouldn’t even let the kids wear goggles to swim in the pool. Not a 5* experience. The hotel itself is nice and very well done."

"Excellent séjour d’une semaine au sein de cet hotel. Le lieu et la vue de la chambre étaient magiques. Le personnel est très agréable et serviable. Le buffet est très varié on y trouve de tout, avec des soirées à thème. Le seul point négatif serait sur le côté vieillissant de la salle de sport, des chambres et elles ne sont pas très bien insonorisées, le fait de ne pas pouvoir manger avec vue sur la mer. La piscine n’est pas chauffée donc difficile d’y entrer pour les plus frileux. Mais globalement cela reste un très bel hotel. "

" Amazing stay at Salt Garonda! Early check-in, spotless rooms cleaned twice daily, and super friendly staff throughout. The spa was lovely – special thanks to Paula and Irene who were fantastic. We were breakfast only, but after eating in Mikel & Pintxo we wished we’d gone half board – the food was excellent. Staff went above and beyond by linking our bookings and putting our rooms next to each other. Would highly recommend and would definitely return! "

"Really enjoyed staying here, the hotel is a perfect size for a relaxing short visit and very well located near to beaches and bars/restaurants. The staff who work here are all very polite and engaging and the selection of food for breakfast and dinner is varied and fresh. Excellent value for money and only a €16 cab 5 mins from the airport, don’t get an uber they want 3x the cost. The only downside was noise from dogs barking in adjacent properties when you have the balcony door open but this is not within the hotels control. Would definitely return and recommend to anyone for a cheap and cheerful relaxing break. Didn’t visit the spa or indoor full lane pool but this is also a bonus and excellent to have these facilities included in the price. "
