「Best place we stayed in all of Japan. It's actually nicer than the pictures portray if you can believe it. Location is the only slight downside as you mostly will end up taking taxis everywhere other than the Heian shrine. Must comfortable beds and blankets, pillows we had as well. If you're cooking at all the kitchen is amazing. Wish I had used the meditation room but only discovered at at the end.」

「Gorgeous, charming house in a cute neighborhood. Perfect mix of traditional Japanese and Western amenities. Fairly close (but hilly) walk to many Kyoto sites and amenities. The perfect place for a small group to have a cozy, relaxing stay in Kyoto. I'd love to stay here again!」

「Stayed here with friends to visit Kyoto. Is a beautiful house and great area for seeing shrines. Definitely in a bit of an uphill neighborhood though, so ordering Ubers can be challenging. Otherwise recommend for any travelers! 」
