"Jennifer and Jeff are wonderful hosts and have created a very sweet spot to stay on the Big Island. While it's removed from the hustle and bustle of Hilo, it is an easy drive if you want to visit that area. It's also fairly close to the Volcanic National Park - so it's a good in between place to stay. They were super helpful getting us settled and truly provide everything you could need (except AC so be prepared but they do have fans). Really beautiful gardens and cozy Hawaiian decor to help you feel right at home. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the lanai and listening to the birds and Coqui frogs. I highly recommend staying here and would love to stay with them again. "

"Volcano Home was an amazing place to stay! Coming back each evening after exploring Volcano park and other Hilo sites was a treat! The place is so peaceful! There are too many extras perks about this place to list but our kids especially loved all the indoor and outdoor games! The kitchen was extremely well stocked with anything you could need! Thank you Joshua and Geneva for being such great hosts!"

"I can’t say enough great about this house, property or host. It was absolutely perfect for our family. Each day after being out to explore all day we could come back and shower and still have lots of fun just spending the evening shooting baskets in the driveway, playing pool, darts, riding bikes to the shore, etc. Howard is a most generous, accommodating host!!"

"We unfortunately were not able to stay at this property due to the lack of air conditioning. We reasonably expected some form of A/C given the warm and humid climate, but this was not mentioned in the listing.Because of medical conditions, air conditioning is a requirement for us, not just a preference. Upon arrival, it became clear we could not safely remain in the room and had to leave shortly after checking in.That said, communication with the host was excellent. Andy was responsive, kind, and professional throughout the process. We did discuss the situation and our health concerns, but due to the established cancellation policy and the timing of our arrival, a refund was not possible.The property itself appears to be in a nice location with a beautiful setting, but future guests should be aware that there is no air conditioning, which may be an important consideration depending on your needs."
