Loved Honua Kai! Individual unit had noise issues from neighboring property though. The lanai faced an adjacent property (partial ocean view) with a number of industrial A/C units on the top of the building, which ran constantly. As a result, we didn't spend much time in the unit or with the large glass doors open. Normally, we like to enjoy morning coffee and dinners out on the lanai, looking at the landscape/ocean or beauty of the resort courtyard. Didn't happen this time. For people who like to be out and about a lot and/or aren't effected by industrial noise, it wouldn't be a problem. We are older, quiet and love enjoying the view from the lanai throughout the day. The inside of the unit was nice and very well appointed - the bed was comfortable, snorkel equipment, beach chairs are provided, a nice bit of staples in the kitchen and great appliances. We loved snorkeling just a 5 minute walk from the resort! Communication with host, Farzie, was great. She was attentive and responsive to our needs. I would rent from her again, just not this unit.

Great place

The unit is on the quieter side of the resort and very convenient if you want to walk to the local grocery store or hop on the main highway. The unit has a nice view of the ocean and feels private. Easy access to the pools, walking path, and Dukes.

Great for families!

We loved the Honua Kai! This unit was quiet and had a great view out on the lanai. We saw whales from our balcony! The resort was perfect for families. Our kids loved the various pools. One thing we really enjoyed is the location to the food truck park. We ate there about 5 times and felt the food was hands down the best out of everything we ate in Hawaii! Also the little shopping center across the street had a great pizza place and shaved ice! we loved our stay here. Thank you so much!

Great Christmas vacation !

Honua Kai was just perfect for our vacation. Unit was clean and properly stocked with everything you need. Having stayed at this resort multiple times, this location was easily one the the quietest we’ve had. Looking forward to our next trip to Maui. -B

Great place to stay

Everything was great with this place! The condo has a lot of amenities like a gym, a general store, pools, hot tubs, restaurant, equipment rental, etc. this is also in a great area and was within walking distance to a grocery store and a food truck park. Very clean and well stocked. Good communication with owner.

Great View!

Great location and great view. The resort is really nice with lots of food within walking. Store onsite is also nice. We really liked it. Condo had everything you would need. The only thing we did not like is out of the owners control and did not directly affect us in any way. The public restroom below had many vagrants.

Lovely condo, great resort!

Property is exactly what we needed for our stay in Maui. Kitchen had all the esssntials, the kids were comfortable on the pull out couch. And the view is unbeatable. We ate every meal we had at the condo on the lanai soaking in the view.

Beautiful Waterview with exceptional accommodations

The one bedroom condo does not feel cramped and has a nice northern exposure of the water making it easy to see whales. It’s well furnished with everything you need even with chairs etc. to go to the beach. Honua Kai is a high-end property with everything you could need, including easy access to Dukes restaurant. You can’t go wrong staying here.

Vacation in Maui

Fabulous place to stay!

As an STR owner ourselves, it was certainly nice to come to a place that had everything as described. The resort is great with many nice pools and the beach is right there for that morning walk and sunset view. The Unit was Very clean, with all the things you need to cook with, beach chairs in closet and our absolute favorite, was seeing the whales from the balcony (so many whales). Farzie, the host, was very attentive and made sure we had all the information we needed before and during our stay. Our anniversary trip was nothing short of amazing. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this place.

Nice last minute Condo

Last minute booking at honua kai. Nice place overall. Room was as described. Patio had partial view of ocean. Nice comfy bed and spacious bathroom. Didnt use kitchen but seemed good. Convenient to have laundry if needed. Extras were appreciated- snorkel gear, chairs and boogie board!

Spectacular Condo

We had the best time at this condo! It was clean, perfect location and had everything we needed for a perfect vacation in Maui! You can snorkel with sea turtles right in front of the house too. Dukes on site was amazing and the service was even better. We can’t wait to come back!

Great Location

Dream Maui Resort

Our trip to Maui was everything we every dreamed of. The resort was absolutely beautiful. The Condo was exactly as described and the owner was wonderful in communicating and making sure we were taken care of. I would recommend 10/10 to anyone coming for a visit.

Fantastic Maui Condo

Our family had an amazing time at the Honua Kai resort in Maui. This condo was located in a fantastic spot with an amazing view. All the things we would expect were there as well as some lovely additional items that made our beach days that much more enjoyable. We would highly recommend this condo to anyone looking to stay in Kaanapali area.

I wonderful place to relax with family!

Honua Kai resort has pretty much everything you need right on the beach. So we spent more time hanging out there than what we have traditionally done on trips to HI. Property is well kept with a plethora of activities from swimming at the multiple pools/slide to snorkeling at the beach (there are turtles there!). The owner of this unit takes very good care of it and is very responsive. We had a sink back up in the kitchen and it was fixed within a couple of hours! A great host and would definitely stay there again.
