10/10 Excellent

"Hotel is nicely located just a five minute walk from Hatagaya Station, giving you good access to the rest of the city. The surrounding neighborhood is cozy with a couple convenience store just steps out the front door. A shot walk also to Yoyogi Park and a couple of lovely shrines. The front desk staff was ever present and courteous. The free breakfast mostly consists of coffee, tea, juice, and some toast with butter and jam. Enough to get you started on your day. We stayed in the “Japanese style” room. It’s comfortable and utilitarian with a small kitchenette. You are susceptible to outside noise from trucks and other passerby’s from behind the building but otherwise, a good base for active sights. All in all, a good value proposition."

"This lavish property was a sight to behold. The breakfast bar was great. The best part about this property was the design. I think other properties had better value and many elements here were quite expensive. You could get a much more valuable and authentic dinner off property. But the staff were professional and courteous. A safe place to start your Tokyo adventure."

Daiwa Roynet Hotel Nishi Shinjuku PREMIER

"My stay at Daiwa Roynet Shinjuku was excellent! It wasn’t too close to the busy side of Shinjuku which was great for me (you could walk 10-15 minutes to the action nearby) and only a short 5-6 minute walk to two subway station lines and bus stops. The hotel offers daily breakfast at a great rate (I think I paid a total of 3300 yen for two mornings), but there is also the Daisy Cafe next door that offers a variety of yummy pastries and coffee. Staff were all friendly and helpful. If you are traveling to other parts of Japan utilize their luggage delivery service which will transport your luggage to your next destination at a very reasonable rate. It was extremely helpful not to have large luggage to take with you when your’re navigating the busy subway station lines. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are ever in Toyko and want something close by public transit to all the popular attractions."

"We chose this place for the location. But there were a lot more to it than just the great location. The amenities were awesome: got a bag of clean PJs and a set of towels every day delivered by the door and the selections of tea were great. The best part was the water pressure of the shower! Although the room was really tiny, just enough for 2 retired adults who used the room just for sleeping and resting."

"Our room was cleaned daily. Did not have much contact with staff apart from when we first checked in. Breakfast is not provided, but you can have breakfast at local restaurant. Laundry room was fine. We found the small double quite claustrophobic and too small."
