"This ancient hotel has long seen its better days. Its carpets are old, no elevator on establishment, door closed after certain hour and nobody picks up the phone to respond to need to replace stained blankets. I am amazed such a 3 star hotel exists in Canada and there is no inspection by the town of Goderich. It barely deserves one star. We would definitely not come back"

"Tastefully decorated well preserved historical property with unique charm and atmosphere. Super high ceilings, antique furiniture, beds with canopies, rooms with private bathrooms, coffee and tea all day long, fridge in the common area, everything needed for a pleasant stay. Quiet neighbourhood, walking distance to the city center, Shakespeare Gardens and river boardwalk. Very responsive and approachable hosts living in the same property. All in all, wonderful theatrical gateway. We plan to be back one day."

"Terrible breakfast staff was there nowhere to be seen pool and lawn chairs were dirty not enough towels and there was no pullout couch despite having booked for three people"

"Very quaint and well kept property. However, rooms have very thin walls, lots of noise from neighbouring rooms and also a lot of street noise. Lastly, not helpful that restaurant only opens for breakfast at 8:00am."
