「For what it was they did a great job with decorating. It’s an old property and the unit is in the basement. The unit was very clean and well appointed. The only complaints would be that we couldn’t get the A/C below 70 degrees and a lot of light from security lights pouring into the bedrooms. The niceties were a nice tv, ice in the freezer, an assortment of Keurig coffee pods for the Keurig and comfortable bedding. Would stay here again.」

「We came to Emporia for the Shrine Bowl. The location was perfect for the football game, showcase and the parade downtown. There is a little grocery store right around the block. And a coffee shop just a short walk away. Everything was clean and so cute. We enjoyed this so much. The smart TV was placed between the two bedding areas so we were also able to enjoy two family movie nights. Highly suggest the spot for anyone visiting ESU or the Main Street!」

「If you’re looking for a place close to all things in downtown Lawrence, you can’t go wrong with this location! We were in town for a business trip, and this place was perfect for our stay, and within easy walking distance of lots of great restaurants and breweries. 「Susan is a wonderful host and very sweet and easy to talk to. The Kirkwood Retreat is a very peaceful place to stay if you’re in the KC area. My husband and I had the best sleep ever in the cozy, quiet and cool bedroom that Susan provided. The backyard patio is absolutely beautiful and was right up our alley. Great outdoor furniture, covered patio and she provides a nice fan and a Bluetooth lantern to hook up your favorite music to. The backyard is huge and beautiful. I cannot recommend this...

「We are a group of guys that have been getting together for 35+ years. This house was perfect for us to just relax, use the pool, basement festivities and hang out which we don’t get to do very often now. Mike and his brother were great to work with and communicate throughout the process and stay. If the group had any bit of advice to offer is that the basement activities could use a little love and attention.」
