"Like the cafe/bar in the basement. The 2 buildings across the street from each other makes it a bit inconvenient, for instance, to get to the kitchen from hostel room if they are located in different buildings. Otherwise, clean, nice, comfortable."

Lockers are spacious, staff is friendly and hard working, the amenities like breakfast, towels, slippers and laundry are a great touch. beds are spacious and comfy and I like that there was a designated smoking area on the premises. The only thing is the internet is a bit wonky but overall amazing stay! "

Excellent location for being nearby a lot of food and fun, but off a small street so it is not loud and is very peaceful. I would stay here again and recommend highly. "I was so pleased with Hostel Mundo! It has the style of a traditional Japanese home, with all the comforts that come along with that. That means snug rooms with sleeping cushions on tatami mat floors, a warm home-like environment in the common quarters, and a welcoming staff that is knowledgeable about the surrounding area of Kyoto. "Huge room by Japanese standards bigger than my friends apt in Tokyo Neighborhood was a bit residential so Uber had to be called The shower and jacuzzi were definitely a plus"

"Loved our stay here. Very clean and self check in was actually quite easy. Thers a single washer and dryer downstairs but also a laundromat around the corner. Also a Family Mart attached tp the building - great for coffee and breakfast. Quad room is a bit tight at night but very doable with some organzation. Location is perfect - in a quiet srea but only a few minutes to get to the populated shopping area."
