"We came to SF from Hawaii and planned our trip kind of last minute. I was did a lot of researching for places to stay. This was our first vacation without our kids in over 25 years. We were looking for something that was nice, safe, clean, walkable, affordable and comfortable and the chancellor met all the criteria. It was perfect! We had to check out of our air b n b by 12pm but check in wasn’t until 4pm. I called ahead and the front desk was so nice and told us to come in and see if any rooms were available and if not they could store our bags for us. We were so pleased to have a room available when we got here. The room was perfect. ! I would absolutely recommend the chancellor and will definitely visit again. It’s a perfect property. Mahalo! "

"Hot breakfast is a bonus, it is a full meal heavy breakfast. The staff are friendly esp Coby and Krishna. Place is clean and very modern interior design inside. Service is fast."

"Great location, nice and clean rooms equipped with the usual facilities. There was no coffee machine in my room (not sure about other rooms), but the main lobby has coffee and tea in the morning. I needed hot water, and when I asked for it, they promptly sent a kettle to my room. Location is great, close to lots of restaurants, Market St. and BART. Will definitely come back again. "

"Great hotel and in a good spot near Union Square. The room was comfortable and clean. The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. The lobby is welcoming and comfortable. It is a place where you could work, watch tv and play board games (they have several!). There was a bar in the lobby but it was not open while we were there. We will definitely stay there again!"
