「Did not receive upgrade, my fault. I did not mention my Expedia status. I was later offered an upgrade. I was very happy with our room and declined upgrade. 「The pool and beach are nice. However, the hospitality and other items (see below) were very poor and made me feel very uncomfortable throughout my stay. We had to wait more than 2 hours for check-in. The room was double-booked and there was a different family staying in the room. There was no apology for this, and it took another hour for the room to be offered again. 「Prices are higher than ever , new management its all bout money and greed. the only way anyone smiles there is only if you tip them. The stay at the beach was painful as all the palapas / umbrella's were taken and you have to pay $40 daily to have an umbrella that barely protects 2 people.. even free water at the lobby now has one that needs tip to give you a tiny cup. 」

「We had a great stay here. The hotel is nice, clean and updated. The rooms were a good size and have a balcony. The beach is just steps away. Pool open 24 hours. Outside bar open tipp 11 and inside one till 12. The casino is small but has a mix of games. Old San Juan was a 20 minute Uber ride away. 」
