"This hotel was rated highly and priced as though it was a high end property - it is not. It is an ancient chateau remodeled into a 1970s motel with amateur carpentry. Upon arrival the manager attempted to upsell us on-site breakfast and booking a dinner reservation through her website instead of showing us to our room. Our room was surprising, as it was not attractive or comfortable. There was a giant space heater to be plugged in because the proprietor turns off the heat at night - in December! The bathroom door was an ill fitting rolling door that did not provide privacy. We were happy to check out the next day. I could not recommend this hotel."

"The building is old but our room was big and nicely updated. The hosts were very kind and secure storage for our bikes was no problem."

"We had a beautiful, large room with a canopy bed. All the furniture was elegant and antique in style. We had a huge bathroom with double sinks. The room came with robe and slippers. Our room was on the second floor reached by a spiral stone staircase. They brought our luggage to the room. Dinner is available and we enjoyed our meal in a stone walled room. Breakfast was served there too. It has a lovely courtyard where they served drinks. It was an amazing experience and I highly recommend staying here. "

"If you want something a bit off the trail, quiet, includes everything you need, you want to stay with Annie Claude. We had a wonderful rest and able to visit the local attractions. We were able to sit outside until dark and entertained by their dogs and sheep."

"The most lovely stay in this beautiful little cottage in the foothills of Les Montagnes Noires. The cottage is spacious, well equipped and situated in a gorgeous garden which guests can enjoy- the highlight of which is a beautiful pool which is wonderful in hot weather! The pool is shared with the hosts, but we had lots of access and would always have the pool to ourselves. The cottage is also sheltered under the shade of trees which help to keep it cool even in high temperatures.The cottage is in a great location to explore the lovely Montagnes Noires and their great swimming lakes, cute historical French towns, the Canal du Midi and of course the medieval city of Carcassonne is just 15 minutes away, as is the airport. Our hosts, Norbert and Monique were really helpful with all aspects of the cottage and a fount of knowledge on the locality with great suggestions of places to visit - and the kindest hosts. Highly recommend - and we look forward to a return visit! Thank you!"
