We loved our stay in Carcasonne! The accomodation was in a perfect location for a stop on our cycling holiday along the Canal du Midi and had everything we could hope for. The beds were super comfortable, everything was lovely and clean, and Katy and her husband were so nice! The breakfast was also fantastic - highly recommend!

I love the location here，I t’s very close to the train station, right next to the Canal du Midi, and both the old town and La Cité are within walking distance. The room is very nice and clean, and the bed is very comfortable, after a full day out, it’s so relaxing to lie down. I really enjoyed the thoughtfully prepared breakfast; the quality is exceptional and feels like a whole other level of enjoyment, the best. The hosts are incredibly thoughtful and hospitable, offering great recommendations for places to visit and delicious restaurants nearby. It was the most memorable experience of our trip.

Lovely home which has been a Bed and Breakfast run by Katy and Oliver for just over a year. They are wonderful, gracious hosts. The property is a very convenient walk from the train station along the Canal du Midi. It is about a 30 minute, interesting walk from the walled Cité. Katy welcomes you with information a out your visit to Carcassone and restaurant recommendations. The guest rooms are spacious and comfortable. Breakfast is delicious, featuring homemade compotes, granola, fruit and eggs with smoked salmon. Wonderful! If we ever return to Carcassone, we will be back!

Superbe séjour avec des hôtes aux petits soins. Le standing des chambres est proche de celui d'un hôtel 4* avec une literie haut de gamme, des équipements de qualité et une propreté exemplaire. Le petit-déjeuner est lui aussi savoureux et généreux. Nous recommandons à 100% !

Beautiful stay by the canal

Our stay was wonderful. The hosts Sarah, Steve, Katie and Olivier were extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast was delicious and varied. The house was well furnished and very clean. The room was very spacious and comfortable. I would stay here over and over. The hosts were wonderful people. We felt at home with them.

Tout simplement parfait ! L’hébergement était impeccable. Les hôtes tiennent vraiment a ce qu'on passe un bon moment chez eux. Vous pouvez profiter d’un magnifique jardin où vous pourrez prendre l’apéro et le petit déjeuner qui était délicieux. L’emplacement est idéal ! Tranquille, a proximité de la gare, du château, etc !

Vous pouvez réserver la Maison du Canal du Midi les yeux fermés ! Propriété pleine de caractère, décorée avec soin et beaucoup de goût, idéalement placée pour se rendre à la Bastide (5min.) et la Cité (15-20min.) à pied, et avec vue sur le canal. Vous serez reçus personnellement et chaleureusement par Katy et Olivier, qui feront tout pour rendre votre séjour agréable. Le top de notre séjour: petit déjeuner généreux en terrasse, avec produits frais, de saison et variés. Autre bonus: parking facile (et potentiellement ombragé) le long du canal juste devant la propriété !

Katy et Olivier sont chaleureux, aux petits soins pour leurs voyageurs. Le petit déjeuner proposé change tous les jours mais j'ai eu droit à un yaourt fait maison et la meilleure chocolatine qu'il m'ait été donné de manger ! La chambre est composée d'un grand lit très confortable et d'une sublime salle de bains avec tout le nécessaire. Seule la porte d'entrée s'est montrée un peu récalcitrante, mais à deux pas de la gare, c'est le point de départ idéal pour visiter la ville. En bref : superbe séjour ! Merci !

Fantastic Chambre D'Hote in Carcassonne

Stayed a whole week and wish it was more! Without a doubt the best Chambre D'Hote/small hotel we have ever stayed in, anywhere in the world. Just 3 bedrooms, but beautifully appointed and with an amazingly comfortable bed! Breakfasts were extraordinary- different every day, but similar in that they were perfectly prepared with delicious fresh local produce. The property is literally on the bank of the Canal du Midi, 1 minute walk from the train station, a few minutes into town and 15 minutes walk to the Cite. But it was still quiet and peaceful. Katy and Olivier make you feel so at home and were full of recommendations on what to do, where to eat and how to have a great time in beautiful Carcassonne, which we certainly did. I would not hesitate to book again and look forward to doing so!
