"By far this was our best stay out of the whole trip, I felt so welcome by the staff, pool was nice, clean room, breakfast was amazing and even got some food to bring back to my little one."
"What a find! This quiet little corner of Carcassone was so close to the walled city, yet was beautiful to stay at, the staff were incredibly helpful, and the pool was a fantastic spot to cool off in the afternoon. Plus, the decor of the rooms was fantastic (our was hot pink and orange). Could not have been happier with our stay at Hotel Montmorency!"

This medieval city is one of the most unique ones I've experienced in France because it is entirely walled off from the rest of the town and it's like a genuine medieval little village that is not overly commercialized.

We have visited Carcassonne before and love the old city. It's also worth driving into the beautiful surrounding countryside. The Midi Canal is very pretty. The airport is small but very convenient.

I went to a great restaurant inside the walls of the castle with the best food I had experienced in France! Braserie-Restaurant Le Jardin de la Tour du Plo, 10-12 Rue du Plo. It seemed to be run by really nice women and the food was excellent.

It was a shame we were early for the Christmas Market but we could see it was almost ready to open. Carcassonne is a lovely city with lots of bars and restaurants to choose from and lots to see and do at all times of the year.

Beautiful small city thay you can fully visit in 2 days. The castle area is really well preserved. The city is a bit less cared for, but still enjoyed the walks.

"Hotel is around 40 mins up a hill from the centre of Carcassone and public transport to get there isn’t good. There isn’t much around there so if you don’t have a car be prepared to get a lot of steps in. The room itself could do with a renovation. "
