"The staff was so kind and the property looks on the beautiful cliffs of Madeira. We loved being able to use the Galosol pool, this was definitely a highlight. There are many restaurants within walking distance and parking is very inexpensive and easy in front. "The location of this property provides for an exclusive vibe. It is a bit of a difficult and scary ride up the hilly roads, but the location itself was gorgeous and truly a comfortable and peaceful stay. The indoor pool is quite large and was a highlight for us. The restaurant was also really good and we enjoyed our meals here. "This very dated hotel is central so that makes it quite good. The rooms are fine and there are things to do. The food is average and flavourless. The staff seem always unhappy and overall I would say it is fine because of location but quite expensive given how dated and how I felt the service was. They had said I would stay in my room for 2 nights given a tour group I was joining night 2 - yet they yelled at me at the front desk and make me move in a rushed format when I went to confirm. I would not stay here again."
