「The hotelier is located in the middle of the town. Easy access to anywhere still in a very quiet and relaxing atmosphere. The roof top pool and bar and it's view are excellent. Hotel staff and service are perfect. You will be welcomed with a sparkling wine and invited to a live music with nice aperitif in the evening. A room is also so elegant.」
「A firm favourite of ours where we’ve stayed 3 times now. Gorgeous hotel, extremely comfortable. Extremely central. Huge pool with plenty of sunloungers (be prepared for expensive day beds and Bali beds). Service at pool and restaurants is friendly if not always efficient. Front desk staff should learn to pretend to be happy for you to be here and change their snooty attitude though. 」

「The Vine was an excellent hotel in a great location. The staff were all friendly and helpful. I would particularly highlight Hermes, Carmo, Bernardo and Jorges in the bar, the restaurant and at breakfast. It was a shame that my room upgrade was not available but the room we had was still nice. The Vine is easy walking distance to the harbour, the old town and multiple restaurants. The rooftop pool, bar and restaurant are also a fantastic place to spend time. 」
「Stayed in a room that hosted me and two friends. The location to check-in was close to the apartment and walkable. There are a lot of cute shops and restaurants that are walkable from this location. Communication through WhatsApp was very smooth with the host. There is an elevator so you don’t have to only rely on stairs to bring your luggage upstairs. All in all a good stay! 」

「What an amazing property. This hotel was one of my favorites throughout our family trip of 10 days around Portugal and Madeira. We were given a suite with pool and ocean view. The rooms were spotless clean, comfortable beds with fluffy pillows. One of the best breakfast buffets we have experienced. The staff was very friendly and professional. Located near restaurants, natural pool, shopping mall. Highly recommend to stay at Porto Mare Bayport when visiting Funchal.」
