"The hotel had a nice vibe from the second we walked in. Awesome bakery in the lobby with a wide assortment of options. The roof top lounge also had a cool atmosphere. Heaters for cooler weather. Bar and food options. The rooms were clean and spacious compared to other places I have stayed in Japan. The location was perfect. Easy walk to temples, the Gion district, and to the vibrant Pontocho area. 0.8-1.4 mile walks. The hotel is also on a main road so grabbing Uber or taxis was easy. We will definitely stay here again!!"

The hotel staff are incredibly helpful, they explained how luggage shipping services work, and did the shipping process to one of my next hotels One thing I was surprised about was the amount of trash and litter outside the hotel in the surrounding areas I think from over-tourism (which is out of the hotels control).
