「Location was very good, staff eager to help. Food was very good with a good variety of menu items. Evening entertainment provided meant you could stay in the hotel although, as usual with hotels, drinks were rather expensive. All in all we would stay again. 」

「Sehr tolles Pub. Saubere und ruhige Unterkunft. Das Abendessen und das Frühstück waren wirklich sehr lecker. Ein Parkplatz war nicht wirklich frei als wir angekommen sind, da einige Personen im Pub vor Ort waren, aber man sich hier einfach hinstellen, da sagt keiner was, man findet seinen Platz. Ich kann es nur empfehlen! Danke für die Gastfreundlichkeit.」

「My wife and I had an excellent and comfortable stay! We were greeted at the door and taken care of as we were shown to our room. Upon arrival they gave us an upgrade to a sea view which was very kind! Everything was brilliant, only slight issue was the lack of wifi & reception in our room (reception problem with the area, not the hotel itself). We didn’t end up trying any food though, but looked delicious. Thank you Orestone for accommodating us! 」

「Set in a lovely position on the beach with beautiful walks along the coastal path. The staff are brilliant they can’t do enough for you a couple of hiccups were dealt with very quickly and professionally the breakfast’s were very good and Louise was great at looking after us. We would highly recommend a stay at the Hope And Anchor thank you Shane Lee and the team 」

「We have stayed here before and everything perfect which is why we chose to stay again while visiting Torquay. No complaints whatsoever. All good.」

「I stay away 3/4 times a month with work and had I not been dining with suppliers locally would probably have missed this gem. They moved breakfast forward 20 minutes to allow for an early departure for me and what a breakfast! The fresh fruit, eggs benedict and the banana/strawberry smoothie were all 10/10 whilst I had a superb view over the harbour. The fresh milk and drinks in the room was also great, along with the shortbread biscuits. But the highlight for me was the bed. I intended to watch...

「Was a very relaxing stay. Gary & Phillip were great hosts, room was spotless and breakfast brilliant. Room was large and comfortable and the bar area was relaxing. Seating outside great with a view looking out to the sea. 」

「Hotel was well situated in the heart of the village, easy to locate with plenty of onsite parking. Next door to a great pub with good food. Room was very clean and tidy with a sea view. Breakfast was really good. Very friendly place, would definitely stay again if in the area. 」
