「We specifically asked for pet friendly area for our 2 rescues when we booked hotel. We were told large grassy fenced in area by pool. Once at property we were then told we could not use this area and had to go outside in front of hotel with cars passing and construction debris. The staff was nice about it, but it made the trip difficult. We were also put in a room with a barn oor to bathroom that would not fully close and asked to be moved to another room. 「A room with a waterfront view is nice. Waited more than 30 minutes to just get acknowledged at the dinner restaurant by the water, then after waiting another 15 minutes of being ignored...we left. Decor is tired. There are better choices to stay in Newport. It's an expensive hotel, and should at the very least have better service.」
