「I stayed at Gardiner House in Newport, RI for five nights this past week, paying over $1,000 a night for what turned out to be the worst hospitality experience I've ever had at a hotel. Gorgeous property, utterly incompetent operation — this is what happens when a beautiful building gets handed to a staff with zero training and zero accountability. Every single day, despite checking me in themselves and seeing my face at every turn, staff asked if I was actually a guest. Not once — not once —...

「ニューポートのマンション群を見学したあと、その余韻に浸るのにピッタリな瀟洒な洋館です。インテリアも素敵で、特筆すべきなのは、お風呂です。ゆったりとした作りで、リラックスして入れる広めのジェットバスですし、シャワールームも完備されていました。 　また、私達にとって気に入ったのはポーターサービスです。ニューポートのどこからでも、フロントに電話をすると、スタッフの方が、黒塗りの車で送迎してくれるのです。はじめ、このサービスを知らなくて、ニューポートの案内所からタクシーでホテルに行ったのですが、サービスが悪く20％以上のチップを払ったのに、スーツケースも運んでくれなくて最悪でした。ところが、スタッフの方は、車も綺麗ですし、スーツケースも運んでいただけるし、運転もとてもていねいで最高でした。また、夕食のとき外のレストランにいっても、送迎していただけるし、マーブルハウス等、観光スポットから連絡しても、きちんと迎えに来ていただけるし、スーツケースもチェックインの前や、チェックアウトのあとでも、預かっていただけて、本当に助かりました。」

「The property appeared to be new. Our room was BEAUTIFULLY decorated. I would definitely stay there again. Right on the main road, only couple blocks from downtown.」
