「Lovely room for a relaxing stay in the New Forest. The food (dinner and breakfast) was standard hotel food—not bad but not great. The dinner was presented in a gourmet style but of average quality.」

「We booked the hotel for a short break for our 10th wedding anniversary. The room exceeded our expectations and it looked much better then the pictures online. The restaurant was excellent, so was the outdoor swimming pool. The only thing that wasn't great was a corporate party taking place underneath our room which we were not told about at the point of booking. When I called reception I was told the party would finish at 23.00 which it didn't. When we called again we were told it would...

「I chose this hotel because I assumed it would be old fashioned and full of character. So it turned out to be. It is very conveniently located. Inside is very comfortable if a little tired in places. The chairs are buttoned leather and the clientele at the time I stayed were in their golden years. Our room was very spacious but oddly shaped. It all added to the charm. Recommended.」

「The whole experience from checking in with the very friendly staff to enjoying the bar late at night, lovely sleep at night, great breakfast in the morning and then swim in the pool was a joy for the whole family. Would definitely stay again. 」

「Great location. Good reception. Great food. Room great apart from view out of window. Could not use pool etc as was not advised there was staff training so not open in the afternoon. Only knew staff training when I had got ready and gone down to a notice on the door to enter. Times of pools opening times did not match online to inside times, so never got to visit.」
