The hotel has been transformed from something that was very poor to a clean, spacious hotel. Good courteous staff and good buffet breakfast. Would stay there again

Upgraded from £45 to £120 LEX STANDARD RM FOR FREE FRIDGE BALCONY LEATHER ARMCHAIRS BATH with shower cubicle and Seaview but took longer than expected to change king size bed to twin beds 🛌 tv wasn't big either but still spacious and mirrored wardrobes were good

The hotel is very nice and well appointed in the communal areas. The bar lounge was very nice. The room was clean but very dated. The room was cold as the radiator wasn’t working but we had a small plug in radiator to get some heat. The bathroom didn’t receive any heating and was quite cold with only a net curtain. No real blinds so with the light on anyone would be able to see right in. The room we had needs to be brought into 2026 but the bedding was clean and warm. Only 1 pillow each. Could have used an extra one each. I guess for the money it was just ok staff didn’t offer us a breakfast booking when we checked in, might have been nice. Over all it felt like a budget booking in a very nice hotel. I could sit in the relaxing bar area comfortably for some time. Some rooms need a little investment and t l c.

The hotel was lovely. The room was in poor state and needs a good update to justify costs. Breakfast was sadly below a good standard and not value for money. Bed linen very clean and the bed was very comfy. Overall, 5 out of 10.

The heating was on full blast all day and night and u couldn't turn it off, reception told me it went off at 10pm came back on at 6am which never happened so too hot and stuffy to sleep. The beds were hard and the pillows were hard so very uncomfortable sleepless night. The fire alarm went off at 5am, when we left we weren't asked how r stay was and no apology for the alarm going off.

Unfriendly staff on arrival Not the best reception/ first impression Not given any information about our stay, the hotel facilities or where to go Car keys taken off us on arrival Lovely room but no housekeeping for four days, not explained or advised about putting rubbish out for collection/ no fresh towels Room needed cleaning, first impression great/ nice cleaned beds but every ledge had dust on it / dusty skirting boards, window frames dirty Breakfast section was good but when we had ours at 9am - food dry and eggs hard very disappointing Bar staff- lady in the bar on our arrive was excellent, very helpful and approachable. SPA staff helpful but no tokens to lock valuables away or robe that fitted- extra costs evening entertainment very good

I refused to stay, it was so poor at this hotel. I left after a few hours. From the very beginning the valet parking was a joke and the cars were backed up into the main road, causing a traffic jam. online check-in is a pointless as it takes just as long to check in. My room was so far up in what felt like Rapunzel's tower and you could feel the cold and damp the higher up you got. I would hazard a guess that these may have been the staff quarters last century. It felt like you weren't part of the hotel. On my way up I saw a couple of ladies and they were on their way down to complain about damp. Then when I went down to ask about the heating as my room was freezing, I passed a couple trying to climb to the 'tower' with a wheelchair, and the lady, who was disabled desperately trying to walk up the stairs. They said they had told them on the booking about having a disability. I was told the heating only comes on 4pm-10pm and they don't provide heaters, but that I could have some blankets. The patronising manager who came to bleed the radiator in my room, simply wouldn't except that I was very unhappy with being in a cold room with no heating past 10pm. He did nothing to validate my complaint. I ran the water in the sink and saw bits in the sink, I cleaned the sink, but when I ran it again the same thing happened, I tried the bath, same again. Clearly dodgy old pipes, I'm contemplating the water board. Thankfully I hadn't drank any, I'm worried about Legionnaire's.
