"Good experience "

"I stayed in one of the rooms with the open air bath on the balcony, and it was one of the best views I've had at onsen. The room was great! I thought the men's public bath was a little run down, but still enjoyable. My wife thought the women's was very good and didn't mention any issues. I hope they can fix it back up because it's a beautiful hotel! I would definitely go again for the same room we had!"

"スタッフさんたちがとても親切で、施設内でも飽きずに過ごせるよう工夫されている点はとてもよかったです。 リーズナブルな価格に比べてバイキングも内容がとても充実していました。 近くには川と素晴らしい眺めの滝がありますが、行き方に関する案内が口頭でも紙や標識も見当たらないことは勿体ないところでした。フロント正門の向かって左にある道でしょうか？せっかくの立地なのでもっとアピールしてほしいです。 残念だった点は掃除ですね。建物が古いのと別で、客室の掃除が行き届いてない感がありました。ベランダ側の窓の上部は相当掃除をしていないことがわかるようなホコリなどが目立ち、虫の死骸なども窓際にちらほら。次回お世話になることがあるかもですが、改善されていることを期待します。 今回は大変お世話になりました。"

"For the price, this was a delightful stay with some amazing amenities. I stayed in one of the rooms (not the capsules). I was amazed at what an amazing place this was and wished I was staying longer. It is super close to the train station and also has lockers if you need to store luggage before/after check-in/out. I rarely return to the same hotel twice, but I would definitely stay here again and longer. I appreciated the thoughtful touches!"

"Extremely remote (nearly a 3 hour bus ride from Kinegawa Onsen Train station into the winding mountains) which was both an adventure and unnerving. Made to feel like a foreigner with little help in understanding the cultural norms as a newcomer to the onsen experience. The in-suite onsen option was incredible, providing both privacy and ability to enjoy the experience as a newcomer free of the "ritual" imposed but not well explained for use of the public hot pools. "Everything about the accommodation was excellent, especially the staff! Despite the communication struggles, they were very helpful and provided great service during my stay. The free shuttle service to the ski resort was also extremely useful as they would drive you to your desired resort and pick you up at your specified time. "Had a nice stay at turtle inn, Nice hot bath, friendly staff, Easy to get around, close to shops and bus stop, Only problem a noisy family with 2 children making lots of noise late at night and early in the morning. Would recommend this place to stay. "

"The surrounding area is beautiful. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rate included breakfast which was nice. However, this is an all-smoking room hotel - contrary to what it’s listed as. There was no noticeable odor in the room, but might not be the same for all. And they’re having trouble with the hot spring source so there’s no onsen water to the room balcony baths (my main reason for booking), and their regular hot spring will be sometimes closed. That was the most disappointing part. "
