「Hotellet er det lækreste og flotteste i Malia indre by (dem ved stranden så vi dog ikke nærmere på), og ser meget luksuriøst ud med det store barområde/loungeområde, god musik og hyggelige restaurant-område med VIRKELIG god mad. Vi fandt ud af, at stedet er en attraktion i sig selv på grund af maden og vinen.
Værelset vi fik var rimelig standard med dobbeltseng (to enkelte), altan med udsigt over både vand, by og bjerge, tekøkken og lille badeværelset. Badet var i ringe stand, håndholdt bruser...

The accommodation is in very good condition and everything is available. A nice apartment, swimming pool, and their own supermarket just 15 meters away. GEntilissima la reception con Vassilika o Basilico come dovrebbe essere la traduzione dal Greco!!! Creta ha una infinità di belle spiagge che abbiamo visitato nella quasi totalità!!!」
「Wunderschöne Anlage, schöner Pool, alles sehr sauber und gepflegt. Meine Unterkunft war sehr gut eingerichtet, alles da, was man braucht. Die Betten sind traumhaft, die können mit jedem Luxushotel mithalten. Vom Balkon hat man einen wunderbaren Blick zum Meer. Das ganze Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, selbst bei einem Notfall mitten in der Nacht. Ich kann die Villa Mare Monte vorbehaltlos weiterempfehlen.」

「C’était un endroit sympathique et accueillant. Je remercie le personnel de l’hôtel qui a pris le temps de répondre à nos nombreuses questions et qui a su nous diriger au mieux.
Je mettrais un petit point d’attention sur le fait qu’il manquait deux trois étagères et crochet dans les chambres pour faire sécher ou poser nos vêtements, ainsi que dans la salle de bain pour les affaires de toilettes. Mais sinon très bon hôtel bien situé à Malia ! 」
「The manager, Akins, went out of his way to go to buy hand soap for the room when we asked for some. Breakfast was included which we hadn’t known. Pool area is large and pretty. Walking distance to restaurants, shopping, beach. We dined for 3 nights at Knossos Taverna nearby. Owners were very friendly, cousins to manager of Golden Bay. Many menu options, recommend eating there. 」
