Visited first week in October and my holiday was perfect. The app allowed me to check in and book all my a la carte dinner restaurants well in advance. My swim up room was pristinely clean, the staff were happy and courteous and the property itself is gorgeous. At this non peak time there was much availability of beach front loungers in shade. The annual sargassum accumulation is being handled expertly by the resort, with machines scooping and removing all day. Food and drink were high quality. Loved the Portofino restaurant and it's staff the best! The turamisu was great. The only negative for me: I have stayed at Bahia Principe 5 times now and wish they would improve their mattresses.

rooms are super clean , honestly the private pool isn’t really private main pool is def the same , the food = salty , have the restaurants is adult only so we only have 2-3 choices and to e main buffet was closed even tho the guy said it will be open tomorrow . the cafe is the best wish it opened earlier but it’s great

My stay was wonderful. If I had a complaint, it would be the housekeeping staff did not always replenish all items in the bathroom. It would vary from day to day.

Most of the rooms are about a 20-minute walk from the lobby. There are a few golf carts that are supposed to take you there, but we still found ourselves waiting more than 10 minutes most of the time. The food was good on most days. The staff wasn’t very helpful. If you don’t specifically ask for help, you probably won’t get any. This applies to everything from getting your luggage to your room (they left ours at the lobby for hours) to getting directions to the gym (which is actually closed, so you have to go to another resort about a 20-minute walk away). There also isn’t enough seating around the pool. If you wake up after 9 AM, you probably won’t find a spot in the shade. Throughout the resort, you’re constantly approached by locals and staff trying to sell you things — at the pool, on the beach, and even while walking from your room. It gets pretty annoying. But overall, it was a nice experience.
