Ocean pool is ok, P island sucked, waterpark was amazing and great but room was so dirty, hair in showers, no water in room, bed was wet when I git into the room. Staff was slightly nice. Like nice we need your money but we hate you. Very rude! And manager was an ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE! I saw the warnings on all platforms and still came to this horrible place!!

Check-in was a nightmare- took almost 45 minutes because I had reserved 2 rooms on Expedia, but the resort only had 1 room under my name. Immediately after check-in, we got stuck in the elevator for 15 minutes. Then, our wristbands didn't work on one of the rooms because the door lock battery was dead, so another 20 minutes for maintenance to come change out the battery. Finally made it to the Funicular to check out the water park, which is a journey from the main lobby, only to find out it was closed at 5:30pm. Hotel property is absolutely stunning, with beautiful pools and ocean views!! Be warned, there are a LOT of steps to go up and down and a lot of walking as this resort is huge. No beach at the main hotel, but there is a ferry to an island where you can swim, snorkle and relax. Check out was just as much of a nightmare and took forever. They forgot to charge my self parking fee so it took forever to open my Folio up again to charge to the room- could not pay with a Credit Card seperatly for some reason. The property is very beautiful but I will not be going back because of all the headaches.

The amenities were great! Our room was right by the water park, which was great for us, although I would have felt safer in a room that didn’t have a glass door on the ground floor. And if it has it, might asw well open from the outside with your room key. The room was spotless when we arrived and the first day it was spotless again. The second day, not so much. One of the restaurants was underwhelming but everywhere else was great! The staff was delightful, remembered us every time they saw us. My son was just thrilled. A perfect little getaway for a parent and child, and I bet it would be amazing for a couple too, but probably better to stay in the top part of the resort! One thing to note is stop on the way for anything you need if you don’t have a car. The taxis are silly expensive!

This resort functions like a nightclub 24/7. There is music blasting at the pool, the waterpark, the beach, the lounge and every restaurant all the time—there is no escape from oppressive noise! Our room was in the marina area between the line for the boat to the island, the Ballyhoo restaurant, and on the other side was the Furnicular. Every day there were steel drums playing between 4:30-6:30pm playing at full volume for the boat arrivals, so we couldn’t rest in our room before dinner after being in loud spaces all day with our kids. The resort calls it “Music Entertainment” but it is more like a “Music Migraine” and it is completely not necessary. In fact, the experience would have been way better without it even though this place has other big problems… This resort is not equipped to function at full capacity. It boasts abundance, but it is actually a place of scarcity. There are long lines everywhere. For example, if you do not make dinner reservations for every night, then good luck getting dinner. On our first night it took about an hour and a half to get service and this is not easy with little kids. There is no daily option for a good breakfast in the marina area. There is a small market with coffee and pastries but the line usually takes an hour because of the line to get to the island. If you want to go to Palomino Island at 9, the line starts at 8am and gets long until about 1PM. My idea of vacation is not standing in long lines to do everything.

The Furnicular we had to take to go anywhere else in the resort. Do not stay in the marina area—it’s inconvenient to say the least!

Lovely resort, wonderful amenities, great food. However, seemed to be very very understaffed. The wait times to get checked in, and later to the island were over an hour, which was disappointing as we were only there 2 days. Wonderful place for families, though!

The property itself is beautiful with stunning views and well-maintained grounds. The coffee shop staff were warm, kind, and welcoming — they were the highlight of the service experience. Unfortunately, several issues impacted our stay. At check-in, a duplicate charge resulted in over $2,000 being held on our credit card. While it was eventually corrected, it limited our ability to book excursions during part of our stay. Communication at check-in could also be improved, as we were not given clear information about activities on the property, and the QR codes posted in the elevators did not work. Our room door was extremely difficult to open and required significant force each time, which was inconvenient and concerning. While the resort is visually impressive, the overall service felt cold and not very welcoming in most areas. With better communication, improved attention to detail, and warmer hospitality, this could be an exceptional experience.

We found that the short walk to the restaurant off of the resort was a well worth it. For the price of the food at the resort, the food was really subpar. It was not very good at any place that we ate at. We had a group of six and we all had similar negative experiences with a male bartender at the Ballyhoo! bar and staff that we’re passing out towels at the pool. They did come across as hateful. The staff upstairs and inside the resort were friendly but as soon as you step outside of the building, it just seemed to be negative. So I’m saying that we spent the majority of our time off the resort.

Our room was in the best location down by the marina, right by the waterpark. It was a waterfront corner room with a double patio. All the food was great. We ate at several property restaurants, all great. Palomino island was fabulous and they mixed the best tropical drinks. The water was beautiful and enough lounge chairs and umbrellas for all guests. The entire resort was amazing

Room was great, hotel is beautiful but the best part was the staff. Everyone from front desk to boats and ferrys, to housekeeping, to restaurants was helpful, kind, knowledgeable and entirely delightful. Palamino island, Couqi kids pool, and other activities and amenities kept us happy. Will go back again!!
