There had been a fire in the main hotel that didn’t affect the Haciena, except that the restaurant was closed. I thought the bed was too hard, but the suite was lovely. Nice breakfast and great happy hour. Free shuttle made getting around town easy.

Beautiful venue and rooms. Given the elevation of the rooms, we were able to enjoy spectacular sunsets. One of the most comfortable hotel beds we have experienced. We loved having indoor and outdoor fireplaces. Bishop’s Lodge location felt like the best of both worlds, being only ten minutes from the center of town.
The staff were lovely and friendly. However, it felt like this was their first rodeo - we experienced a few snafus. Having met the GM, as well as the Head of Operations of the property, I have little doubt service will only improve. Not an issue of desire to please, just experience.
The venue is therapeutic in its own right.
