"La Fonda is completing some renovations, so that was the only surprise at check in. Would have appreciated a notice before arrival. Lobby bar closes at 9 pm, a little early on a Friday/Saturday night. "

"Front desk staff often not well informed and there was attitude a couple times instead of courteousness. Cleaning staff making loud banging noises by letting hotel room doors slam shut. Unsafe curbs of uneven cement between hotel stairs and parking area. Rooms dark, poor lighting making it hard to see when packing. Otherwise it’s a nice place with beautiful decor and close to plaza. "

"I wish the bathrooms had a fan. The breakfast at the restaurant was AMAZING plus our server was also the bartender from the lobby bar from the evening before. He was outstanding both times we were helped by him. I wish I had gotten his name. "

"Great value. Comfortable property, clean room, well appointed. Good location - easy walk to Santa Fe Railyards and only 15-20 minute walk to Plaza. Staff was friendly. Happy hour was an excellent value. Breakfast wasn't fancy, but a pleasant surprise."

"There was a broken blind so we couldn’t close or open our drapes but they gave us another room immediately across the hall. Staff was helpful and rooms were nice. Pool could have been cleaner but otherwise I’d recommend especially for people staying longer than a few days. Kitchen was nice and the whole place is specious. "

"Simply lovely hotel just steps off the plaza. The staff could not have been more friendly and accommodating. They have a wine tasting room and a separate bar. The bar staff were busy but still so friendly and efficient. We enjoyed our room and when there were people in the hallway talking loudly at 7am with one person even yelling, I texted the desk to request help and the group immediately stopped. We really enjoyed our stay celebrating our 20th anniversary and would definitely stay again!"
