Everything about the facility was wonderful. The room was great . The breakfast room was very cute and the food was delicious. The staff was also very helpful and friendly. We definitely recommend this B & B to anyone staying in Santa Fe. Also it was an easy 10-15 minute walk to the Plaza and surrounding shopping area
Room was clean. Very comoftable bed.
Breakfast area was very nice and staff was extremely pleasant.
Parking spaces were a bit snug but manageable.
Diagram for arrivals in the evening might emphasize that Weber Street is a side street and that access if off of the main road.
The Four Kachinas is a great choice for Santa Fe! The location is very convenient, pretty central and easily walkable to all the major attractions. We loved Santa Fe! The staff were fantastic. Wonderful breakfast and the friendliest staff there to ensure that everything is perfect. We stayed in the main house and enjoyed our room. We would definitely stay here again.
Uniquely beautiful decor - original art, attention to detail, and comfortable beds! Also Walt's congenial, informative chats with guests.
There is nothing we did not like - we hope to return to Four Kachinas in the future. It was a wonderful place to stay 4 nights while exploring Santa Fe on our first visit there.
We have been to Santa Fe dozens and dozens of times over the last 14 years. This property is exceptional. It is beautiful, quaint, quiet and hospitable. The breakfast is delicious and the host, will make you feel like an old friend. Great information and accomodations. Do not pass this one by, BOOK IT! You will not regret it.
The property owner, Ailene, provided a very warm and informative greeting at check-in. Similarly, throughout my stay, the staff at Four Kachinas was cheery and helpful, especially Blanca and Lupita, who seem to truly enjoy their jobs and guest interaction. Most importantly, Four Kachinas is in an outstanding location- a quick walk to Santa Fe Plaza, the state capitol, multiple museums, multiple restaurants, and Canyon Road galleries and an 8-minute drive to mountain hiking. The property is clean, ergonomic, well-furnished, well-landscaped, safe, and relaxing. My room was comfortable; aesthetically pleasing; provided excellent, functional lighting, with easy to locate switches; and contained a large bathroom. The sitting area in the front lobby was a surprisingly comfortable and quiet place to work. Likewise, the always available indoor/outdoor breakfast area was a superior place to eat takeout food, instead of bringing the food to my room. Moreover, breakfast is excellent, especially the inclusion of goat cheese, fresh berries, and daily rotating egg dishes and quiches cooked by Blanca. My only negative comment is that Four Kachinas should include a room thermostat for the 2 rooms within the main building. The peripheral rooms have thermostats, but not the rooms in the main house, where the thermostat for the entire floor is positioned within the office. Nevertheless, guests prefer control of their room temperature- at least this guest would have preferred control.
The heating was a problem- the room boiled at night because the thermostat was outside in main area - we had to open the windows in December to try and cool the room- every night ! The thermostat kept resetting itself … ugh
The room too small for the bed and a real lack of electrical outlets
Fantastic location and close to plaza
Wayne was most helpful with dining options and Blanca and Lupita make a excellent breakfast
Will definitely try to stay here on our next visit to Santa Fe
My husband and I enjoyed two nights at this very charming B and B. Wayne and Walt are excellent hosts and full of information about the area with great suggestions. Our room was very comfortable and beautifully decorated. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious and could be eaten indoors or outside in a garden setting. I highly recommend the Four Cochinas B&B!
Host is kind & knowledgeable without being intrusive. The room was small but thoughtfully arranged with many nice touches. The breakfast each day was stellar, coffee/ tea service always available & fresh baked cookies...
Location is fantastic near everything but quiet & peaceful
Heated floors were fantastic. Breakfast options were plentiful. We loved the tangerine juice. The breakfast / lounge room was open 24 hours so we could get a small snack, borrow a book, chat with other guests or just have some quiet time while our traveling companion did the same in our room. We loved the quiet location which was just a short stroll to the old town area and the O’Keefe museum.
A great location within walking distance of all downtown Santa Fe sites. Our host Wayne provided a number of valuable travel tips and restaurant recommendations. Breakfast was outstanding.
We were in a bit of a hurry, running late on arrival and leaving early to meet an old friend, so we didn't quite give this venue or Santa Fe the time they deserved.
This bed and breakfast was cute and we enjoyed the brief respite during an overstuffed vacation. The continental breakfast and great coffee sent us on our way ready for anything.
This property is two houses next door to each other with a small parking lot (5 spaces) in between. We stayed in the smaller of the homes. Large comfortable bed/bedding, old spanish home that is decorated well. Host/owner Walt is a delight and full of local knowledge. Breakfast was first class. Plenty of hot water and amenities. Walkable to all of Old Santa Fe. Nice to take a break during the day of sight seeing to come back to the room to relax, then go back out again. One block from San Miguel church and the heart of the action.
We are very pleased with the accommodations and extended our stay! Our breakfast was incredibly delicious, especially the strawberry pecan coffee cake.
Greeted, shown around courtyard, room, breakfast area. Great, nicely decorated room with radiant heating, comfortable bed & pillows, private patio (didn't use, too cold). Only negatives of room was it took forever to get warm water in sink & shower. Considering a sign asking us to conserve water, maybe invest in a tankless water heater!! Also, a desklike area for our laptop would've been nice (used luggage rack & brought in chair from patio).
Bianca provided a good breakfast omelette (don't like greek yogurt, how about Yoplait) and fresh fruit & cinnamon bread. Coffee not bad w/cream.
Would stay again.
PS please dust chandelier, there were dust strings hanging from it.
