The property is wonderful, an excellent option if you want to enjoy the authentic New Mexican charm of Chimayo and also visit Santa Fe. The breakfast tacos and banana bread were 5-star delicious and the hosts were communicative and super helpful.

The casa itself was interesting and clean, fun to stay in. Breakfast was enjoyable; presentaton was simple. We would make one suggestion: knowing limited huoman resources and water etc., some extra attention to the grounds would go a long ways to a welcoming and hanging-out atmosphere. Oh, one other thing we noticed that could be improved--depending on water pressure--the shower head in the Luminaria room (where we loved the patio door windowsi) provided very small spray,

We loved our stay at Casa Escondida. From beginning to end, the communication was excellent. Our food preferences were asked for, and our instructions for getting there were clearly defined. The breakfast was superb both days, and our chef shared local information and what we might like to see for that day. All the staff were so nice, and the people staying there at the same time as us were equally lovely.

Arriving late in the evening was somewhat challenging due to the limited lighting between the parking lot and the front entrance. Installing motion-sensor lighting would greatly improve safety and security for guests arriving after dark. Additionally, the Wi-Fi connection in the Juniper Room was unreliable, which was particularly difficult since I depend on consistent internet access for work.
