We stayed for three nights over a University of Michigan football weekend. We booked last minute, so there weren’t many hotel options. Now I know why DoubleTree was still available. First, our room was advertised as having two queen beds; they were double beds. The room was dated and tired. On the surface it was clean, but the tile and moldings needed a good scrubbing. Our room was not cleaned the entire time we were there. The final day, we tracked down fresh towels on our own.
The onsite restaurant want very good. You could tell the fish was fried in the same oil as the chicken tenders and French fries. Everything tasted fishy.
Lastly, we were charged $5 for self parking. We didn’t bring a car and that charge was not advertised.
