We booked for a double bed but ended up with a single king size bed I ended up on the sofa-bed but for the second night they upgraded us

My stay at 1 Hotel Toronto was genuinely wonderful from start to finish. The Flora Lounge is a highlight — the lush greenery creates a calming, nature-inspired atmosphere unlike any hotel bar I’ve visited. What truly sets this property apart is the staff. Yaz was warm, engaging, and spot-on with every menu recommendation. The woman managing the pool on Sunday afternoon (I’m sorry I didn’t catch her name!) was equally delightful. At Harriet’s, Alejandra (Ale) brought such genuine kindness and attentiveness to every interaction. When my travel plans changed unexpectedly, Jonah, Ify, and Shamar handled everything with patience and efficiency. I couldn’t have felt more looked after. I left feeling like family rather than a guest, and I’m already planning my return with my mom and sister. À bientôt! 🌿

Really convenient location. Rooms were clean and beds were comfy. We would definitely stay there again.

Amazing service from the moment we parked. The Valet service was great and Norbert at the Desk provided exceptional service. We celebrated our anniversary and the staff made us feel special with some simple gestures (like a late checkout). This gave us the opportunity to experience an amazing brunch the next day at Kost - the rooftop restaurant. The only suggestion that I have is to plan your exit/entry from the hotel during non-busy times for the restaurants - the demand for the brunch was high and the line-ups for the elevators can get lengthy. I will definitely return.

It was convenient to St Michael’s Hospital where I was having surgery.

I liked: TV worked, neighborhood had lots of food places I didn’t like: not really a hotel—no front desk; other than the man who checked me in, there was no one. Same with leaving: no one around. I REALLY DIDN’T LIKE that there was NO ELEVATOR!!!!! I’m over 70 and I need to know if the place is a “walk-up”. When I asked, the man said “this is a boutique hotel.” What does “boutique” mean to him? No services? To properly market the property, you need to be honest with potential guests. “Simple, no frills” would have given me an idea of the type of room I was renting.
