Incredible service, spectacular food

It is a nice hotel but IMO doesn’t deliver a 4-star property. Perfectly located in central Toulon by the harbour

As other have pointed out this is an older Belle Époque hotel which has lots of fading charm and some real character. It’s set back from the busy seafront in a large tropical garden - we had a sea facing room on an upper floor so the view of the sea and coast as well as the gardens was beautiful. The room was spotless, but small (that may just be the level of room we booked however). Some parts of the hotel could do with some tlc but for the location - a minute or two’s walk from the beach - it was good value. The pool is medium sized and was busy with families, but there seemed to be room for everyone and it was friendly (it was August, so the whole of the Côte d’Azur is super busy!). The staff at the hotel were very helpful and breakfast on the terrace was decent. We didn’t eat dinner at the hotel as there is a wide choice of dining options on the seafront and the road just back from the beach - at all levels and prices. There is a huge parking area by the back of the hotel and a lift from that level, so it was easy to unload and load up.

I stayed one night and its was awfull, wool type blanquets without sheets. The room was not clean and the maîtresses had dog hair on the covers. Overall the cleanliness wasnt acceptable specially in the bathroom area

We chose this hotel primarily because of its convenient location close to the airport. On arrival, the check-in staff were friendly, welcoming, and very helpful, which made for a positive first impression. Unfortunately, the dining experience was disappointing. The only dinner option available was a buffet, which appeared unappetising and lacked freshness. The restaurant itself felt more like a school canteen than a hotel dining venue, while the bar was located three floors away, making the overall layout rather inconvenient. We had booked two Privilege Rooms, but both were showing significant signs of wear and tear. Cleanliness was also a concern, as we found hairs in the bedding that appeared to have been left by previous guests. The towels were heavily worn and looked as though they had been through countless wash cycles. In addition, the air conditioning units in both rooms were extremely noisy and ineffective, making it difficult to maintain a comfortable temperature. Breakfast was served in the same third-floor dining area, and unfortunately the experience mirrored our disappointment from the previous evening’s dinner. Overall, while the staff were excellent, the condition of the rooms and the dining facilities fell well below expectations. We were very disappointed with our stay and would not choose to return.
