Oahu Beach Vacations

We had a great experience at the Wayfinder. The Redfin is fantastic, the hotel staff was amazing, the B-Side coffee shop was super convenient and good. It would be nice if they could put double pane glasses in the windows because there is noise from the streets, but we understood that before we got there.

Every time I come to Oahu I stay at this hotel! It’s a 10min walk from the beach, down the street to the shopping strip area and there’s some cool food trucks 5mins away. The hotel itself is clean, ABC store downstairs super convenient, the pool is small but cute, the laundry machines were nice surprise to have and they just added some nice hotel classes like sunrise yoga which was lead by a great instructor but that’s the only one I got to do. The staff is why I come back as well as the location, staff is SO friendly and helpful. They were kind enough to send my postcards for me (note I provided my own stamps) and they were so responsive and helpful to my random asks. Appreciated the amenities beach mat, snorkel masks, beach chairs but no umbrella. I also used the valet parking for the first time and it was easy and hassle free. The room itself is clean but nothing to fancy which is fine if you’re not planning on staying in the room other than sleep and occasional recharge. However, I stayed in a standard room not the premium rooms with a view. My family I was traveling with did get a premium room and they noted the room had a nice view and fairly spacious with a little terrace.

We had an updated 14th floor ocean front corner Jr. Suite with two balconies. The views were awesome, and could hear nightly live music from Dukes patio. The King bed looked out to the ocean, nice way to wake up. The only issue was the TV's did not work. But who goes to Waikiki to watch TV? The entire property is under going a year long renovation, so there was limited elevators, no lobby and construction noise M-F. The on-site ABC store shut down too. Dukes and the Hulu Grill were excellent, as was the entire staff. It would have been 5 Stars across except for the renovation. Can't wait until they are finished.

The vallet workers were the best

Great tradition with an amazing location and excellent service. Our historical room was well appointed and when we had an AC issue, maintenance responded immediately and fixed it. The Mai Tai Bar has good food and lovely live musicians every day. Azure Restaurant is phenomenal with its 3-, 4-, or 5-course meals.
