"Nice 4 poster bed room shame no restaurant but pub called The Plough was amazing and only a 3 min walk. Breakfast was good overall nice overnight stay be aware its £15 to use the hotel car park"

"Great location, great service and all services you would expect. Bar and restaurant were well serviced with a variety of food and beverages at reasonable prices. Only slight point is that parking was expensive but similar to other locations in York."

"Very convenient location. The room was a little small but was a good fit for our family of four. While not having air conditioning was a little challenging, the sky light opened and kept us cool throughout the night. The beds were comfortable and the TV setup was easy to navigate."

"Lovely hotel with character. Breakfast was calm and quiet - just what was needed and filled us up for the day! Staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel was clean. The lift was very small and made strange noises so not for those who don’t like them! Furniture/ air con etc in rooms does need updating but considering the heat we had an excellent night’s sleep"
