"needed a well needed rest after a busy year.After a long search of hotels around york we found this beautiful cottage just outside york,and needless to say it was just what we needed.lovely cottaged estate.we booked the 3 bedroomed cottage,fairview i think it was called.beautiful inside and out.no expense spared on the inside,very relaxing.we are already thinking about booking next year.would highly recommend."

"This was a well maintained, well located, modern property perfect for a short stay in York. Minutes from the city walls and conveniently located for supermarket, cafes, restaurants and shops as well as the key tourist sites. There is a car park next to the apartment block but it is heavily used and expensive so car-free is best. The property manager was excellent - answered a couple of queries we had really quickly. "

"Very comfortable unit in a country setting away from the congestion of York. The only negative point was that the WIFI was weak in the unit we were in. Nice, historical location. "

"Lobby restaurant better than roof-top restaurant. Shower very good. Toiletries plentiful. Too many unmarked light and electrical switches. Luckily some seemed to come on automatically. Location is excellent for trains and easy walking access to York Minster and the tourist attractions. National Railway Museum currently very distant to access, due to reconstruction."

"The property had an elegance about it that made it very charming. Everything has been kept up really well. The facilities in the room were excellent. The hotel is literally steps away from both the train and bus stations that made it ideal for our travel. The most outstanding thing about the Milner was its staff. They were extremely kind and helpful. They went out of their way to help us."

"The reception staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making check-in smooth and pleasant. The room was clean and well-maintained upon arrival, and the service the next day was truly impressive. Housekeeping did a fantastic job — they cleaned thoroughly, changed the bed linen, and neatly organised everything in the room while we were out. I had booked a King Size Room with a City View. While the room itself was comfortable and spacious, the view was a bit underwhelming as it included a nearby construction site with a noticeable pile of sand just a few meters below. That was the only slight letdown in an otherwise pleasant stay. Aside from that, everything was superb — excellent service, cleanliness, and a comfortable stay overall. Thank you to the team for the warm hospitality!"
