「What an idyllic delight!!! It’s an old home, but it was so comfortable! Our room was huge, and the breakfast buffet in the morning right outside our door was perfect. The tea & biscuits waiting for us in our room upon arrival were much appreciated, and I got to watch one of the most beautiful sunsets of my life over the sheep fields.」

「Great location close to Stratford marina and the town centre. Plenty of parking. Reception staff were pleasant and helpful. Our room was spacious, comfortable and clean.」

「I enjoyed my 3 night visit. I found the staff pleasant and the hotel a nice ambience. My room was a little tired but everything I needed. I will stay again. Great value for money.」

「Excellent」

「Choose other place. I found the dirty cloth on my desk when I came in and a big fry in my room. This hotel is very old and not pleasant to stay. It is very far from any place you want to go. I choose this place by seeing the picture. But I did not find anything there on the picture. Do not stay here. 」

「Stayed in a "standard room" / King bed. Overall, the two-day stay was underwhelming,. On arrival, first room actually smelled hot. I first assumed something was wrong with the HVAC (there was), but I learned that the facility heats with radiators, and no, air conditioners don't work. After returning to the room with instructions to try turning down the radiator, I discovered there was no handle on the radiator valve. After I made a second trip to the front desk, they gave me a different room,...

「Wonderful service and beautiful rooms」

「Avonpark House is a very good travellers rest. Comfortable and clean, our room was a reasonable size as was the ensuite. It’s a walkable distance into the centre of town. The hosts were friendly and welcoming. Good parking available and an excellent breakfast.」

「We stayed for two nights and had a pretty good stay. On arrival we were given a room that on the face of it seemed good. However when I check on the booking we had paid for a junior deluxe room and the photos showed a very much better room. We went back to the reception and after some checking were taken to the room we should have had, whet a difference! We got there in the end but were disappointed that we had to challenge to get the room we had actually booked. Otherwise nice stay but a little...

「Tired and well past its best」

「There is no one to check you in or ask questions to until after 5 pm or so. The front desk isn't staffed in the morning but I finally found someone cleaning a room the following morning. He told me they would not store my small but somewhat heavy bag for pick-up after 5 pm when a front desk person would be there. I said I didn't mind waiting until 5 pm to come back for the bag. He then changed their excuse for refusing to hold the bag to "we can't be responsible for it". I wasn't asking them...
