"The room carpet and bedding was clean but the walls were marked, the door frame looked as though the door had been kicked in at some point. The handrails on the stairs were sticky and the hallways looked grim. Breakfast was a bit dismal for a continental brmreakfast and the croissants were not fresh Staff were friendly and helpful offering to take bags up the stairs. Had we know how far up the room was we'd have accepted the offer. Free parking was available at the rear of rhe hotel and it was perfectly placed for an event at the coronation hall. Adequate accommodation for one night. But wouldn't have wanted to be there any longer and would ask for a lower level room if booking again. "

"Absolutely wonderful stay! The apartment we stayed in was immaculately clean, really well presented with a well equipped kitchen. Bathroom was spotless, the shower was brilliant! Convenient parking opposite and located in the centre. Great place to visit, with lovely shops, bars, cafes and restaurants round the corner! We would recommend to anyone looking to visit Ulverston. "
