"We loved everything! When we arrived it was peak check-in time but the front desk staff were plentiful and checked everyone in quickly, which was impressive! Super friendly and attentive staff throughout the hotel (bar, restaurant, housekeeping and as mentioned front desk staff). The room (jr suite) was decorated tastefully and the sound system was a nice surprise old school tube and horn system!"

"The most beautiful hotel with outstanding amenities and staff. The location was excellent right in the heart of a historic Kyoto neighborhood. We really enjoyed the history behind the building and how they preserved the elementary school memorabilia. The guest lounge is a wonderful option for afternoon tea or happy hour drinks. Breakfast was outstanding and all the staff were truly top notch. Would definitely go back!"

"Don’t walk run to book this hotel! From the time you enter the lobby to how beautiful the rooms are it’s the best room I’ve ever stayed in. We travel a lot we never have a comfortable bed anywhere but here. The bedding was fluffy and the lighting was so cozy. I can’t say enough wonderful things about our stay here."
